Robert Clinton Allen born June 1 1856 Crawfordsville Iowa died March 28 1908 at his sister's home Ames Iowa after a long illness. He worked for 27 years in C N W railway bridge and building dept. He was honored by Masons and Eastern Star and his funeral was held at his sister's home with large attendance despite heavy rain.

Death by His Own Hand in Oklahoma Farmhouse
Oscar Litchard a 60 year old bachelor formerly of Ames died by his own hand at his home in Custer City Oklahoma on March 24. A farmer and long time resident he moved to Oklahoma in the early 1890s with homeseekers from the Ames area. He previously lived on the Simmons farm south of Ames and survived a railroad accident near Graves farm when struck by a freight train while driving a team and wagon.
