Ayer s Sarsaparilla is touted for cleansing and vitalizing effects. Bor McBride of the Mitchell Dak Mail notes a man stopped the paper claiming it was tainted with religion.
The Ames Cemetery Association selected W. G. Wright C. E. Hunt and John L Stevens as trustees for the year. M. W. Quick is hired as sexton to devote full time to grounds care. All private lot improvements must be supervised by the sexton or trustees and charges reflect actual costs to the association.
