Mrs. D J Jeffrey died at her Lynn street home New Year morning after six weeks illness heart trouble and pneumonia. Funeral at Nevada home conducted by Rev Nye with many present including Rev Smith presiding elder. burial to follow in Corning. Mrs. Caroline Vance born July 12 1851 in Casstown Ohio aged 53 5 15 moved to Corning 1865 married Dr J A Jeffrey April 26 1870 charter member of Corning Presbyterian later joined Methodist Episcopal church 1873. State Superintendent of Primary Sabbath School work. leaves husband daughter Nellie Goodenough of Cole. Remains taken to Corning for burial.
