Fights and Factions at 12th District Convention
Report from Lempxin describes the 12th district convention in which Stewart and Webster counties clash over rotation and representation. Contested nominations arise between W M Sears of Webster and W W Fitzgerald of Stewart, with ballots showing Fitzgerald leading but Sears claiming the nomination. The piece notes the district spans Webster Stewart and Quitman, and laments the split as unresolved.
