Central Railroad Chief Explains Coal Car Refusal
General Manager Cecil Gabbett of the Central Railroad explains the refusal to furnish coal cars to the Horse Creek Coal Co at Birmingham. He says the action aims to aid the public by freeing cars in use by private parties and notes that ten cars loaned to the B A M road two months and ten days ago are not yet returned. He emphasizes the policy is not a boycott of Americus or the B A M road but a move to meet public demand.
