Salvation Army contingent visits Dawson in 16 days in town

A Salvation Army branch led by Col Light Captain Adams and others stayed sixteen days in Dawson Georgia, holding four meetings weekly across Shellman Cuthbert and Coleman, renting the opera house, earning converts, and leaving for Atlanta after modest public support. Local events include a Presbyterian barbecue on May 20 to fund church debt, a stockholder free excursion by the Columbus Southern railway on May 22, and community notices of weddings, travels, and railroad prospects along Florida and Northern routes.
