Peleg Kenyon and the Grim Fortune of a Yankee Thief

Peleg Kenyon, a 60 year old bachelor from Griswold, made a $105000 haul from his employer Henry Henderson but died a lonely, ostracized man. He spent years amassing wealth through real estate and mortgages in Massachusetts, while his theft and the subsequent custody battle with Henderson dominated his life. He left most of his fortune to the heir of an early Hob importer.
