East Americas Reopens Lamar Street Under Court Order
Citizens under Justice J. L. Adderton resumed work Thursday at seven o'clock to reopen Lamar street where it crosses Jefferson Street in front of the old Jackson place. Property owners had fenced in the ground but the fence was torn away. The dispute is to be settled by a high court before mutual satisfaction.

Ruta Baga Pyramid Says Turnips Weigh Heavy
Yesterday A J Buchanan bought a wagon load of ruta baga turnips from Mr Dorn of Friendship. He built a pyramid of 108 gourds rising four feet six inches tall and twelve feet around. The smallest weighs four and a half pounds while the largest hits nine and a half. Mr Bell notes the lot nearly matches his own turnip size, now used by chickens as a roosting place.

Telegraph Company Wins Another County Court Case
In the County Court the Western Union Telegraph Company gained another case yesterday. Archard of Atlanta sued for 100 dollars for non delivery of a telegram in December. He had no case and lost. Judge Pilebury questioned why lawyers submit such fees. One more case remains, that of aus McCollough, a negro, with the decision held up.
