Fish Culture Report From Schley County Pond
Mr Z T Baisden of Schley County reports a fish culture observation on July 1. A red eye fish brood hatched numbering about one thousand to fifteen hundred. The diminutive fry were very small and guarded by the mother who nourished them from the gill filament as a mammal from milk. She kept them in the nest at night and buried them in sand and trash. He believes one fish per brood母 could be raised each season with proper care.
