In Western County on July 15 delegates from Gooseberry Chennubee Dawson and Whaley Granges met at Gravel Hill school to organize a District Grange. Capt Lott Jennings chaired the meeting and a motion to establish the district was carried. The plan calls for meetings to elect delegates and set a meeting place and time for the new district in Terrell county.
