Dawson July 9 The Dawson Investment Company purchased 230 acres from the Baldwin estate adjoining a previous 6,000 dollar purchase with plans to lay off residence lots and sell to settlers. They aim to build 100 houses this and next year.

John Sheffield of Americus visited, and Laura Jowers of Putnam returned home after visiting relatives. J W Glass shows large sweet potatoes nine inches in circumference. Annie Harper hosted a Sunday dinner enjoyed by all.
