Cotton shortages hit Americus warehouses
Capt McGarrah told a RECORDER man he has lived in Americus since 1872 and has never seen the warehouses so bare of cotton. He shipped the last bale from his warehouse on Monday and there is not a bale of cotton in town.

Mad Dog Attacks Pair Near Mize Residence
While returning from the country Mr and Mrs J W Walters encountered a mad dog near J W Mize's residence. Walters' small shaggy dog attacked it. the mad dog bit the dog in several places. Walters killed his dog Monday to prevent hydrophobia. The mad dog foamed at the mouth and moved toward the Springs.

Fire damages residence on Lee street
Early Tuesday a fire destroyed part of Mrs. Retta Mulkey’s Lee street home. Firemen from Prince Hose Company and others battled the blaze, saving two rooms. Forty Miles Eden Extension Granted to Wright & Struthers
