General Presentments of the Terrell County Grand Jury 1888
The 4 jurors for fall term submit general presentments based on committee reports. They praise county books as kept and note unsettled finances due to outstanding orders and unclosed tax books. They detail funds received since May including pauper farm and whiskey license, approve sheriff and jail conditions, describe county farm outputs, public buildings, and tax collector concerns urging bonded, compensated collectors and new juror pay rates. They commend county officers and request publication of the presentments.
