Burglar Capture by Hounds Returns to Town

Tom Allen arrived from Marshallville with jail dogs to pursue burglars who robbed a local store Monday night. The dogs tracked to Big Indian creek swamp where they treed the suspect, a armed Black man, who was arrested and jailed. Milledgeville Girls Normal College students return to study

A group of pretty schoolgirls under Mrs. Fannie Crowell from Americus left early to resume their studies at the Girls' Normal and Industrial College in Milledgeville. Among the travelers were Maggie Dunn, Lillie McGarrah, Minnie Ferguson, Carrie Derrick, and Mattie Crowell. They spent the summer vacation pleasantly and will return with renewed energy.
