Eight dead nationwide from Sunday electrical storms as record heat waned. Damage estimated at 500000 dollars with collapsed houses, uprooted trees, snapped lines. In Clyde Pennsylvania two women and two children drowned when a rowboat capsized. two men killed by lightning and two others drowned when a squall toppled a boat on the East River. In Lorain Ohio two more died during 24 hours of rain with streetcar service suspended and flooded cellars. Richard Stewart and Clara Trumbull, both in their 20s, drowned after their auto stalled in East 28th Street while attempting to circle the flooded area.

First Services Held in New Auditorium by First Methodist
