Two Alabama Regiments Mustered Out Across War Time

War Department orders 20,000 troops to be mustered out in multiple states and camps. Great Strike Predicted By Coal Miners

In an interview Manager Young of the M. A. Hanna Coal company predicts a major coal strike early next year. He says miners will resist wage cuts of about 15 to 16 cents per ton and may fight to hold wages. He notes West Virginia miners are cheaper to hire and organization efforts have failed.
