Vidalia Georgia October 19 Cotton picking is practically over in this section with an exceptionally short season. Banks may be urged to withhold credit from noncompliant farmers to protect neighbors crops. The State Board of Entomology is studying enforceable duties under existing quarantine laws.
Houston superior court will convene in Perry on October 22 for an adjourned term. Solicitor General Charles H. Garrett has set seventy nine criminal cases for October 22 28 24 25 29 30 and 31 over two weeks to clear the docket. There are about twenty more cases some out on bond and five in jail awaiting trial. Among the seventy one cases four are murder eight are assault with intent to murder eleven for burglary twelve for manufacturing whisky and other crimes. Seventy five jurors have been drawn for service on Monday the 22nd. This docket is the heaviest in years.
