Georgia Democrats Fall Short In National Campaign Fund
In Americus and Georgia as a whole the cash contributions to the national campaign fund are small. A $25 gift is noted, a $100 pledge from a Georgia corporation was questioned for legality, and overall Georgia donations are estimated at only $300 to $400. Leaders from both party wings claim loyalty, while observers doubt Georgians will increase support.
