City clerk K. J. Eldridge warns all residents in Americus must register by November 4 to vote in the November 8 city primary. No eligible voters exist yet for mayor and city council on November 6, risking a minority election if registration is missed. Eldridge stresses many may assume their names are registered, but a failure to register will bar them from the primary.
The American Legion auxiliary will sell poppies on Armistice Day and prepare a beau float for the parade on November 11. A long list of officers and volunteers is announced to manage the sale and float, led by M-Lawson Stapleton with various vice presidents and secretaries enumerated.
In New Brunswick New Jersey officials hunted for clues to the Hal Mill murder as friends of Clifford prepared to hold a meeting to celebrate Hayes release. The report notes anxious searches and unclear progress in the inquiry, with officials seeking tangible evidence to advance the case.

In Cartesville Georgia at 88 Mrs William F Felton the Grand Old Woman asserts she is Americas first woman United States Senator whether by appointment or pending Senate seating. She quips she would have supported a WW I bonus but would oppose extra pay for home guards and backs tariff protection while sabre rattling about Uncle Joe Cannon.
Mrs Pelton, an Atlanta journalist and author active for 40 years in state affairs, championed woman suffrage and recreational improvements for farm workers. She also backed disarmament, opposed whisky resurgence, and engaged in national topics with President Harding inviting her to Ballaire, Florida.
The Lions clubs of the 18th district held a convention with 12 clubs from Georgia, Florida and Alabama. M. J. Witmin of Macon was elected district governor after a three ballot vote, 22 to 18, a Savannah dark horse beating Atlanta. Deputy governors chosen were Maben Cammack of Mobile for Alabama, R. B. Fox of Orlando for Florida, and E. W. Rosenthal of Savannah for Georgia. Atlanta Lions presented a miniature illuminated capitol to Macon Lions at a banquet, with other stunts at Idle Hour Country Club where Americus earned second and Montgomery third.

Two miles are finished with seven more to complete, and the line may reach within 1000 yards of the Central of Georgia depot, potentially joining the Americus pavement.

Washington dispatch reports the freighter West Favalon notifying the Shipping Board that after transferring passengers to transport Thomas, she would tow the hulk of the burned City of Honolulu to ward Los Angeles until tugs meet her. Passengers were moved to the US Army transport Thomas. The Thomas is expected to dock in San Francisco on Sunday.
