Rome Oct 12 The Brindisi express carrying Henry M Stanley his wife and Mrs Tennet wrecked near Carovigno eighteen miles from Brindisi. The entire party and other passengers escaped uninjured though near death. Investigations ordered to fix blame.
In Leavenworth on Oct 12 a proposed Judson Pneumatic Street Railway to run on compressed air was presented by Judson of Washington DC and Pullman IL via agent L H Earle. The deal promised real estate deeds valued at 250000 and employment for at least 25 workers, with construction to begin four months after project approval.
