Ex-South Carolina Doctor Ends Life in Hotel

A South Carolina physician, Dr J I Monroe of Union, died by self inflicted wounds at the Hotel Alvin in Atlanta. He cut his jugular with a pocket knife and bled to death within ten minutes. He had long suffered from rum and morphine habits that led him to Atlanta and to his suicide.
