The Morgan banking house will shortly issue four million pounds sterling of five percent mortgage gold bonds redeemable in 1994 for the Southern Railway company. A general mortgage of twenty four million pounds will follow, with sixteen million issued in exchange for old bonds and four million held for annual blocks.
City board orders Florida Central and Peninsular Railway to remove obstructions from Julius Cedar and Clay streets within 45 days and to halt piles on Pile street with 10 day compliance. The deposition of Charles J. Searcy was taken at Morganfield Virginia on November 24 for use in the Adams Express Company versus Charles Morganfield case. It concerns money found on Morganfield believed to be from an express car robbery. Only attorneys a notary and Searcy with his guard attended and no portion of the testimony was made public.

The Tehauntepec railroad completes a link between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans via the isthmus of Tehauntepec.
