Washington November 24. A series of suits to recover funds spent on war cantonments is set as the next step in fighting frauds under war controls. About a dozen actions are expected with total recoveries rumored above 75 million dollars, including a camp project whose auditors noted possible overages near 5 million.
Waycross reports show rapid growth with large additions on profession, centenary funds, and education across Americas, McRae, Albany, and Thomasy districts as Bishop Ainsworth reviews tabulated pastor and charge records for next year.

Miss Frances Birkhead charges Governor Lee M. Russell with betrayal in a $100,000 suit awaiting federal trial in Oxford on December 4. Russell denies the allegation and says Birkhead is a pawn of political enemies. The case could affect his political future as a potential opponent of Senator Pat Harrison in 1924.

Lanier faces Americus High Warriors at Alumni Field in Macon in the last home game of the season with one more on the schedule. Americus has shown improvement since a 6-0 defeat two weeks ago, and the match is expected to be keen with wide student turnout from Lanier Mercer and Wesleyan.
A woods fire near Towson started at midnight and though still burning, authorities believe it no longer threatens homes or property. The blaze extended two to three miles into the woods, posing danger to railroad trestles and cottages before being brought under control.

London November 24 The government won the first Commons division by 103 votes over the Labour opposition. The vote came after Labour resisted Premier Bonar Law's motion to empower the government to take all the house time for government business this session.
