Washington Nov 22 A caucus call went out for Democratic members to meet Saturday night December 1 ahead of congress organization. Leaders including Garrett Oldfield Rayburn and others plan to push for greater Democratic representation on key committees nine of 21 members and eleven on the 25 member Ways and Means panel.
B F Conant and Sanford Warschauer of Milwaukee were fined ten dollars each for trespassing after a 2000 foot uncontrolled landing near Waukegan Illinois. An unidentified woman in the plane escaped and disappeared after the crash. Warschauer's wife later arrived seeking information about the woman.
Mrs Mary Culouski, 80, shot and likely killed her husband Simon Culouski after a quarrel. She said the act followed a pact that if either left the other the one who left must die, the motive linked to the agreement.
In Fort Worth Texas on November 22 federal judge John M Killits sentenced S S J Cox an alleged associate of Dr Frederick A Cook to eight years in prison and $8000 fine for misuse of the United States mails linked to Petroleum Producers' association operations. Other defendants received varied terms including Dr Cook 14 years nine months and $12000 fine and A K Eckman seven years and $12000 fine.
Washington reports that the average American consumed 49 gallons of milk 16.1 pounds of butter and 3.8 pounds of cheese in the last year according to Agriculture Department statistics. Use of these dairy commodities rose over previous years and the report estimates a further rise.

In Providence R I on November 22 Ernest Fontaine was arrested after allegedly beating and kicking his wife to death in front of their home. Neighbors report a quarrel earlier that evening and four children were inside the house.
In Frankurt on the Oder a joint effort by city and labor officials and the Landbund farmers organization has cut middlemen from food distribution. Weekly fixed price deliveries of potatoes and meats through municipal authorities lower retail prices by about 50 percent and improve farmers’ earnings. Economists urge expanding the scheme to other municipalities.

New York dated November 22, W. E. D. Stokes, millionaire hotel owner, and his wife Mrs. Helen Elwood Stokes ended years of legal warfare with an agreement granting Mrs. Stokes a decree of separation.
Major H. L. Green, construction quartermaster of American military cemeteries in France, reported progress is rapid but hindered by French contractor methods. He noted French crews lack organization and coordination with American contractors, complicating the work.
Tallulah Falls industrial school, owned by the Georgia Federation of Women's clubs, gains two perpetual scholarships from the Atlanta Federation of Women's clubs. Atlanta November 22 The Georgia House adjourned after six at night as debate continued on the Lankford income tax measure and substitute bills. Speaker Neill urged members to attend Thursday sessions and cast their votes, warning it is the most important welfare issue for the state in years and urging duty to constituents. The first vote was likely on the Bussey measure under parliamentary status.
Mrs Bertha Holcomb and escort H Morton claim over a dozen men flogged them Friday night near Smyrna. Holcomb identified six assailants to officers. Morton paid five dollars and costs for drunkenness and was bound over to state court on prohibition charges.
In Savannah on November 22 police held a black suspect in connection with the brutal slayings of Mrs Agnes Maudie and her two year old daughter. Investigators refused to disclose evidence. The killings described as the county's most brutal. a hatchet and a razor were used and a razor fragment was recovered from the woman's neck. The child lay nearby in a pool of blood.
Miss Helen Clark, a Syracuse primary school teacher, is on probation for smoking. The board of education notified her last night that unless she reformed she would lose her job. Her landlady testified about the smoking.
