The ad highlights low prices, numerous items by brand or type, and urges customers to read the price list and buy now for savings.
Three men secreted themselves aboard Adams Express money car No 5045 on a Pennsylvania Railroad train near Morrisville after mis boarding in Jersey City. They pried a door, hid inside, then jumped from the car when the train halted near the Delaware River, raising alarm among guards and train crews. Private detectives were dispatched as authorities investigate the failed robbery attempt.
At Atlanta November 13 a split Kentucky board staged day exercises at the exposition. Governor-elect Bradley and governors Hastings, Greenhalgh, and Lippitt gave talks amid a large audience including business leaders. The remarks praised Kentucky’s future, its rivers, coal, timber, soil, and the South’s prosperity, with reflections on Civil War memories and national unity.

The British colonial government faces possible extreme measures to protect the flag’s prestige, with a high council meeting convened and consul interviews in British Guinea, including the German consul Mr. Weber voicing strong views.
From St. Petersburg on November 16 the imperial manifesto announces the birth of a daughter to the czar and czarina at 6 p.m. The event is hailed as a blessing for the empire and prayers are offered for the princess’s happiness and strength.
A blaze at the Improved Match company factory on Belle Vue and Frederick streets in Detroit, about 8:30 am, killed three workers including Rev ate Dare and Walmer Hight. The factory, with 330 workers on shift, burned rapidly as flames spread, with three escaping.
Mrs. Emmett files divorce proceedings against her husband J K Ensnett, citing a past affair in San Francisco last summer and alleging improper conduct by him. The dispute arises while she is performing here with Stockwell, with the divorce to be tried in Reno.
