Mother gator and 17 little ones captured near Waycross
Waycross reports R E Van Fossen of Ware county captured a seven foot alligator and seventeen hatchlings on Buckleberry Bay three miles south of Waycross. The large alligator was shot and killed while the youngsters, five to seven inches long, were brought alive and displayed in Waycross. The youngsters crawled over each other on the car seat but did not bite bystanders. The old gator was tied to the car side.
