Two Mexican Chamber of Deputies members were seriously wounded in a shooting fray in Mexico City. Louis Morones was shot through the stomach and Leopold Guerrero of Zacatecas was wounded twice in the chest. Authorities have not announced the cause of the clash.
Marion Ohio November 13 Mrs Warren G Harding critically ill from kidney trouble is not so well this morning according to a bulletin by Dr Carl W Sawyer. The bulletin, read by a nurse over the phone, notes a restless painful night and signals close bedside care.

Georgia yams in kiln dried form are expected to cost four dollars or more per 100 pounds as markets forecast a price rise by mid December. The short U.S. sweet potato crop by 18.99 million bushels and Georgia short by nearly 5 million bushels supports higher prices. Current Georgia prices range from 1.25 to 1.80 per 100 pounds. Tsingtao China November 13 troops and gunboats of General Wu Pei Fu the deposed Chinese leader were sighted by incoming steamers about 120 miles east of Tsingtao. One gunboat entered Shihtao Po harbor while others moved southward.
Adolph Adelson of Philadelphia and his brother in law Louis Rosen a baker were shot and killed last night in a garage at Rosen's home in Cleveland.
Baltimore Md November Congressman John Philip Hill of Maryland was acquitted by a federal jury of violating the Volstead act for making intoxicating wine and cider at his home. The remaining counts alleging a common nuisance were dismissed by Judge Soper. The result is a test case Hill said would confirm farmers may produce cider and wine while city residents lack similar beer rights.
The Supreme Court of the District of Columbia ruled that natives of the Philippines are eligible to become American citizens, regardless of military service status in the United States.
A printer in West Point checked a thousand ticket order for the Georgia Auburn game in Columbus and uncovered a counterfeiting scheme. He contacted Harold Hirsch in Atlanta after recognizing the order as suspect. The man placing the order was unknown.
In Rome on November 13 Premier Benito Mussolini's fascist government survived early opposition efforts to topple the cabinet. About 150 opposition members boycotted Parliament as Mussolini gave a speech mourning the deaths of several deputies, signaling a push for constitutional democratic governance.
The 1924 cotton crop shows 18 159 bales ginned by November 1, per W P Persons of the Federal Bureau of Census. Half bales counted as such. This compares with 11 208 bales ginned by Nov 1, 1923. Americus warehouses held 1 498 bales last night, excluding Plains and Leslie.
Boston November 13 The cotton industry shows cautious improvement says Robert Amory president of the National Association of Cotton Manufacturers. He notes the current crop is large enough to boost capacity, but warns of insufficient raw material reserves and possible price fluctuations. He describes the past year as very difficult with weak demand and dividend cuts, while New England mills suffer reduced hours and pay. A bright note is a void in finished goods after deep curtailment.
Mrs. Elison Lee, a well known local, visited the hospital and claimed the mystery woman is her grandchild. She cannot recall the woman’s first name, but says the last name Kiug.
Mrs. Annie Bell, 50, of near Columbus, was fatally injured when hit by a car. Henry Johnson, a Black man, was arrested for murder but claims another vehicle struck the woman and fled. She died shortly after at the city hospital.

Miami police arrest William Hagan Harkins known as the master forger while guests at a hotel. He offered a detective a large bribe and gave a false name, E. M.
