Great Victory for Grover Rally to Augusta Flambeau Train

A large turnout of male residents plans a special 7:30 am train from Americus to Augusta to join the Flambeau Club parade and rally in the Electric City. The 8 A M authorities will provide coaches, with round trip fares reduced to 1.50, and the contingent expects up to 60,000 visitors amid Democratic celebrations and a salute on Tom Watson's political grave.

Boy Loses Arm At Americus Steam Laundry

A 12 year old boy employed at the Americus steam laundry suffered a severe accident while working at a steam roller. His hand and arm were crushed between hot cylinders, requiring amputation at the elbow. He was transported to Drs J S and A B Hinkle for care and his father’s home. The incident is described as one of the most painful there in some time. The doctor predicted recovery and return to duties will take weeks.

Daring Armed Robbery on Western and Atlantic Train

At Atlanta on November 12 a bold attempt to rob a Western and Atlantic train near Atlatalaville failed after pursuing robbers boarded the baggage and express cars as the train neared Atlanta. A negro porter confronted them on the platform and was wounded. The robbers fled into the baggage car. the baggage master drew a pistol, preventing further escape. One robber is believed wounded.
