A large parade and football game were planned in the city with a two minute pause at 11 o clock for the celebration. Decorated cars lined West and East Church Street as an estimated 5600 visitors were expected to attend the event.
In Constantinople Ismet Pasha left for Lausanne to join the peace talks while Allied high commissioners deliver a note to the Ankara government demanding repeal of measures conflicting with the Mudros armistice. British officials warned the Turkish situation remains ominous with no press access to latest messages by noon.
A morning parade at 10 60 a m followed by a noon informal reception for Queen Ernestine at Hotel Winc h then a 10 p m barbecue on West Church Street. A football game Norman Park versus A I at the yard ground with Camp Benning band present. 5 00 p m band concert on Lamar Street and 8 00 p m Queen s reception and ball at Rylander hall featuring the Virginians orchestra with veiled dances or other special features.
The 29th Infantry Band and a large parade lead into Armistice Day celebrations in Americus Sumter County with a grand finale at Rylander hall. Events include a 10 o clock parade and two minutes of silence at 10 59, a public reception at Windsor hotel, a barbecue on West Church, a Norman Park football game, a Lamar fleet band concert, and a grand march at Rylander hall with the Dance of Veils by Mrs Stackhouse. Officials anticipate up to 8000 attendees from the county and plan for a full day of activities and pageantry.
D Mashburn and others will review the parade from the library steps on Jackson Street. A $25 prize will be awarded for the prettiest float as "Order of March" forms a route from Lee and Lamar to Forsyth Cotton and back to Jackson, with divisions including Legion, Confederate Veterans, Boy Scouts, and a Queen’s float, led by the Gold Star Mothers and parade chiefs and aided by Dan Chappell and others.
The members of Troop Two of the Boy Scouts are requested to meet at the American Legion rooms tonight by order of Scout Master.

He praised US stability, warned Europe’s inflationary risk, and urged aiding Europe cautiously while prioritizing the dollar’s value. The talk followed by W. E. Harden who showed a five million ruble note once worth two and a half million rubles.
City taxpayers face a shortened payment window as tax books close December 1, 1922. E J Widridge Americus clerk treasurer urges those unpaid to settle within three weeks to help cover pledged city indebtedness.
Unofficial returns from Tuesday's elections indicate the House will have 225 Republicans and 207 Democrats with 1 Farmer Labor and 1 Independent or Labor member. In the Senate Republicans lead 53 to 42 with 1 Farmer Labor seat.
President Harding ordered Congress to convene in extra session on November 20 to address public interests. House appropriations leaders meet to prepare measures while ships subsidy is a focus during the two week session. Nearby notes mention visits by guests in Macon and praise for southern roads and hotels.
Nov. 10 reports two separate auto crashes. Mrs. J. W. Tilley of Parrott died and four men were injured when her car collided with W. F. E. Riordan’s on the Dawson Americus road. In Augusta E. T. Miller died and Mrs. Nell Curtis of Augusta was seriously injured when a car turned over after losing control near the Savannah road.
Chicago Nov 10 unofficial results show the House with 225 Republicans 207 Democrats 1 Socialist 1 Farmer-Labor 1 Independent. Senate expected to be 53 Republicans 42 Democrats 1 Farmer-Labor. North Dakota’s Lynn J. Frazier wins, Washington’s Clarence Dill re-elected. Kansas Third District race tight with Sproul 37,600 to Stevens 37,045.
The Chrysanthemum club hosts a Saturday show in Turpin show rooms to honor Armistice Day. Doors open from 1 AM to 10 PM with 25 cents for adults and 10 cents for children. Judges include Mrs E L Murray Mrs R L Maynard and G P McKinstry. A number of merchants participate.
In official circles a Paris meeting among Premier Poineace Lord Curzon and Premier Mussolini appears likely early next week. France approves the gathering if it does not delay the Lawsanne peace conferences beyond November.
John D. Mathis Post of the American Legion calls a 8 o'clock meeting at Legion headquarters urging full attendance for a final upcoming program. Commander R. L. Crawford notes Legion members should set aside others concerns and support the effort, with new caps to be distributed.
Ex-service men urged to meet at American Legion headquarters at 9 AM on Saturday and join the parade at 10 o clock to show unity with the legion.
Camp Sumter No 642 United Confederate Veterans urged to participate in a parade invited by the American Legion. Veterans should meet at 9 00 Saturday morning at the courthouse to join the grand march and wear uniform if possible. Co H D Watts listed as contact.
