Results from over 80 counties show Republicans winning the Kentucky governor race as Bradley leads by about 4,000 votes. The state legislature is in doubt with Democrats and Republicans split in the house and a close Senate race. Nationally, Chicago and New Jersey results reflect GOP-leaning swings, with Cook County a Republican landslide and New Jersey shifting toward Republican winners in several counties.
Reports from Maryland Kentucky Utah and New York indicate Republican gains and early leads. Bushnell and Wells lead in Ohio and Utah with Bradley advancing in Kentucky. New York and Massachusetts lean Republican in legislature with Democrats slipping.
