Miss Annie Lee Williams and her brother Clarence visit their mother Mrs. J. D. Williams while attending the Agricultural School in Americus. Local residents Jesse Smith Jim Nichol Willie Godby Geo Emma Wiggins attended a Terrell dance. The Sages family spent Sunday with the Williams family as Miss Ella Wiggins returned from Ellaville. Mrs J. S. Collins and Mr. Collins’ sister visited until Tuesday as Emma left for the State Fair.
Smithville residents entertain guests and neighbors travel to fairs and visits. The Embroidery Club met at the Evans sisters home with refreshments and cordial thanks to the hostesses.
In Andersonville Georgia on November 3, Rev Frances preached at the Methodist church. Local residents Mr and Mrs Easterlin and children shopped in Americus last Thursday. The English family moved to Maxade and C A Johnsons occupy their former home. Several residents visited Macon for the fair and local Syrup making continues as families travel and attend visits.
Nov. 3 note of neighbors in Andersonville and surrounding areas. Mr and Mrs Wicker and son Arthur visited Mrs J G Feagin of Andersonville. Mr Drury Noris returned home from Franklin Co Ocila. Mrs W J Pennington and Miss Bottle Pennington spent noon Tuesday in Andersonville. Various locals including Holloways, Williams, Greene, McKenzie, and Barton hosted and visited friends. A Miss Nan Johnson of Plains spent last week with the Calls family. Tommie Wicker began a course with the Georgi leve.
From Our Regular Correspondent New Era District notes a busy week with school exercisesFriday patrons attendances visiting relatives and neighbors. Names include Griffin Turner Parker Veal Autry Woodruff and Autry family members plus local travels to Americus and Byromville. Several residents spend Sundays with kin and undertake Saturday business trips to town.
Our Regular Correspondent reports the cane grinding season has begun but yields are poor from the dry weather. Crops near harvest, and many residents, including Walter Mask's funeral attendees, and numerous social visits populate the district news as weekly life continues.
