Trial Postponed In Georgia Murder Case At Exposition Grounds
In Columbus Muscogee County the state versus Robert and Richard Howard and James Bickerstaff for the November 11 murder of T C Dawson at the exposition grounds was continued due to illness of counsel and absence of witnesses. The fall term will hear the case. Dawson was a Glennville Alabama citizen and brother-in-law to the defendants. Prominent attorneys and relatives filled the court, with Major Dawson attending as prosecutor and a large audience present. The defense and prosecution teams are strong, and other murder cases may follow.

Death of an Aged Citizen Jesse Aycock in Americus
The death of Jesse Aycock, aged 56, a long time Sumter County resident and respected citizen of Americus, occurred at his home at 1 p.m. Sunday after months of illness. He was involved with the R. E. Allison book business and was a faithful Baptist. His funeral was at Oak Grove cemetery, conducted by Dr. A. B. Campbell. Knights of Pythias George F. Cooper lodge met in their new hall for the first time, preparing a larger meeting space due to rapid membership growth.
