Payroll bandits steal 47000 from New York messengers

Official plans to rewire village cut light one night

Hog sale nets farmers here four thousand dollars

Thirty Sumter county farmers participated in the cooperative hog sale at the Americas pens this week and realized about $4,000 from the offerings. The shipment went to Havana Cuba where a Cuban buyer paid a good price for the stock. C C Hawkins brought three barrows totaling 1600 pounds from his Duroc stock and George O Marshall county farm demonstration agent conducted the sale noting prime condition hogs and a satisfactory return.

Berry School students earn way through work program

David C Barrow of the University of Georgia spoke at Berry School citing a Lee remark and soon 200 students applied for summer work. Berry Schools hired 175 to work on farms kitchens dormitories and sewing rooms earning funds to cover next year tuition and board.
