Confesses Killing Family in Oklahoma
In Idabel Oklahoma on May 4 Jack Pope and Red Harvey, now in custody, confessed involvement in the murder of Thomas Hansell his wife and daughter and Mrs Lydia Pope and two children at the Hansell home near Howarth last April 26. They accuse John Pope, estranged husband of Mrs Pope, of responsibility for the crime. Officers say Pope guided them to the Hansell area where three shotguns were found, allegedly used in the killings.

Banks Find It Easy to Meet Credit Calls
Atlanta May 4. M B Well born governor and Joseph A. Mc Cord chair of the board and federal agent of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta returned from Washington after a fed reserve board meeting. The board reports moderating growth in bank credit demand with an increase in loans of about 80 million largely for commercial purposes compared with 235 million the prior month. Through funds from investments and gold inflows, member banks have been able to meet customer demands.
