Hoping to get an early start Chairman Smoot of the finance committee obtained consent to convene an hour earlier. Two roll calls failed to bring a quorum. After two minutes the quorum number appeared.

ABE BUZZARD LEAVES PRISON AFTER 22 YEARS
Philadelphia May 1 Alike Buzzard once one of the Welch mountain region's most desperate desperadoes has spent forty two years behind bars. He was released from the Eastern State Penitentiary on Thursday as his thirteen year sentence expired. Buzzard is 72 today and plans to become a prison evangelist, devoting the rest of his life to aiding convicts after studying theology and the Scriptures.

Lytle Ordered to Pay Alimony for 20 Years
