He has told intimate friends he will not allow his name to be used and may issue a written statement soon. Five Natives Killed Near Bulawayo During Metabele Skirmish
A Metabele reconnoitering party tried to surprise a picket near Bulawayo’s coolie gardens. Five natives were killed and the Metabeles retreated. Forts are being built along the road to Mangwa under Selous and Dawson to aid the relief force from Mafeking.
