Fire Destroys Chattanooga Depot and Mills in Major Blaze
Two large fires struck Chattanooga at dawn. Campbell & Co furniture factory and allied buildings sustained heavy losses with substantial insured amounts. The East Tennessee, Virginia & Georgia freight depot burned with about 100 cars affected. A second blaze on Montgomery Avenue destroyed a brick store and eight cottages. Total losses near 275000.
