Easter Devotion and Community Happenings in Preston
Easter services at the Methodist church drew the largest audience yet with a full program of songs and readings. The Easter egg hunt on church grounds drew a large, excited crowd, as Laverne Souter found the golden egg. Mrs. R. L. Nicholson died after a long illness, with funeral services held at the Baptist church. Survived by her husband and four brothers and one sister, the family noted community grief and changes as residents visit and relocate.
