Eighty five poultry fanciers contributed from their flocks in Americus first cooperative sale. About 75 hundred pounds were loaded at Ledboard, and 1500 more at Huntington and nearby towns. Buyers paid 40 cents per pound for light fowls and 10 to 25 cents for roosters and hens, with $750.90 paid to Sumter breeders. The Seaboard train will operate Americus to Savannah with a 15,000 pound capacity, next trip planned for next Thursday.

Atlanta March 28 An itemized statement of expenditures must be filed by April 8 by every candidate for county office in the eighty one counties that held primaries on March 19. Secretary of State McLendon notes the law requires filing and publication within twenty days after the primary date. Defeated candidates must file and publish expenditures as well as successful ones. He adds that candidates for judgeships and solicitorships must file reports with the clerk of each court in their district and publish them within the district.
