Rift Ga March 3 Miss Carrie Jones has come home after visiting her uncle Robert Miller in Am ericus. A negro woman Catherine Boston was shot in the heart last Thursday night by another negro, CUM Sims, the wound fatal. The murderer is at large. Rev H F Oliver preached at New Hope. Mr and Mrs D C Jones were guests of Mr and Mrs W A Wilson on Sunday. Annie Lou Jones expected home next Saturday. Farmers plan corn planting. D M Lowrey spent Sunday with Boke Daniel. Annie Haustage and Wil Ne Rooks of Shiloh visited Caleb Richards. The trouble with the easy gol fellow is that he doesn't always know when to stop.

Robbers Strike Cuthbert Post Office in Early Morning Raid
Government officers seek clues after a dawn raid on the Cuthbert Georgia post office. The safe was blown open and about $1,000 in stamps, $400 in government money, and $200 of postmistress Mrs. A. B. Bussey's funds were taken along with valuable papers. Tools from a nearby blacksmith shop were used to breach entry. No definite arrests or suspects have been identified yet.
