Fatal leap ends life of John L. Adams near Alley station
John L. Adams of Epping died after leaping from a moving eastbound train at Alley station on the Sam road while attempting to recover a blown five dollar bill. His skull was crushed upon the impact, and though taken to Mount Vernon for care, death was momentarily expected. Adams, described as honest and hard-working, was greatly shocked by the accident.
