Yesterday's express carried hundreds of crates of peaches from America to smaller cities in this and neighboring states, where better prices may be realized than in New York where a glut of Georgia peaches exists. Shipments included Brunswick, Thomasville, Savannah, Mobile, Jacksonville, Tampa, and many smaller Florida towns. Previously rush favored New York, while other points were neglected. Transportation costs to nearer points are probably less, with more satisfactory returns anticipated.

America is ready to ice gako as a key step in meeting local demand and re icing fruit shipments in transit. Fruit cars to Americus are iced in Macon, then re iced here with about two tons per car. After loading, the fruit remains in excellent condition for shipment to Eastern markets, with future plans to ice all cars in Americas.

Boy Kicked by Horse in Leslie in Critical Condition
Frank Wilson, fourteen, son of F. A. Wilson of Leslie, was kicked repeatedly by a horse while searching a stall for a hen nest. The first blow fractured his cheek bone and fractured skull. Dr. Frank of Cato attends and hopes for his survival despite very dangerous injuries.
