Bridge on short line is started in Taylor Upson area

Information from Butler reaching Americus today says that work has begun on the Taylor Upson county bridge over the Flint river at Holmes Ferry. The bridge on the Americus Ellaville Butler Atlanta highway will close the last gap on the route. A Birmingham firm holds the federal aid contract with completion by 1921, but early finish is likely. Local fundraising by Taylor and Upson businessmen and contributions from Americus and Ellaville backers enabled the project.
