Tragedy as Father Shoots Family Then Himself
In Batarmour a 32 year old letter carrier Edgar Harris shot and killed his 12 year old son George and 9 year old Edgar Harris Jr before wounding his 14 year old daughter Ada and turning the pistol on himself. He was fatally unbalanced by the recent death of his wife and remained in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Little Edgar Jr survived after a bullet missed his head by a half inch buried in a pillow.
