Prom Party Delights Society With Colorful Decor And Dance

A prom hosted by Elizabeth Howell at her South Lee street home drew a fashionable crowd with pink and yellow decor using crepe myrtle lupines and coral vine. Guests enjoyed dancing and late ice cream and cake, with punch served by Martha Mize, Dorothy Harris, and Henry Black. The event featured a guest list of local young ladies and gentlemen, plus planned visits and a forthcoming cake sale by the Central Baptist church WMS. Miss Rebecca Williams of Hamilton, a summer visitor, attended and inspired a Taylor Hill dance hosted by Miss English. Invitations extended to numerous local and out of town friends as the week continued with gatherings and a luncheon planned by Mrs Jordan.
