In Sumter County Georgia on July 30 services were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev Clarence Roberts from Plains. The crowd was small due to inclement weather. Miss Anna Lou Webb and Miss Katie Webb left Saturday to spend time at Pine Springs. Mr Walter Markett is visiting his parents Mr and Mrs BB Markett for a few days. Early Wednesday a burglar entered J L Horn home in Preston Georgia, ate a square meal, stole flour dressed chicken meat and a frying pan. He dropped the pan when family noise arose and fled toward the railroad, plunging into the swamp. Police describe the suspect as a black ex convict seen around town Tuesday.
