Iowa wreck kills and injures Omaha residents

A head end collision on the Chicago and Northwestern near Logan Iowa resulted in 31 dead and 51 wounded, all residents of Omaha and vicinity. An excursion train of 1,200 travelers was struck by a fast eastbound train, leaving bodies piled along the tracks and physicians overwhelmed.
