The Sumter County Fair management announces premiums to encourage community agricultural displays. First prize 150 dollars, second 100, third 50, fourth 25, plus 10 dollars to every community that stages an exhibit. A director urges local cooperation, optimism, and active participation to make 1922 the county’s biggest fair.
One hundred twenty racing pigeons owned in Washington D C were released at Oglethorpe at 4 29 am for a 600 mile race back to Washington.
