Birmingham Couple Charged With Cruelty to Minors

A Birmingham couple and Mrs Hopkins were halted by Chief of Police Austin on cruelty to minors charges after neighbors heard a girl’s screams at the Fourth Avenue residence. The girls Bessie and Gertrude Hopkins were removed to relatives as the investigation continues. the father allegedly did not intervene.
