Macon Ga January 24 Justice L Q C Lamar United States Supreme Court member died last night at his relative W H Virgins home after returning from a walk. He was transported earlier for illness but had shown improvement, and his death from Brights disease came suddenly while visiting in Macon. Lamar, born September 1 1825 in Putnam County Georgia, had a long legal and political career including congress and secretary of the interior before his Supreme Court tenure.

The Ohio organizers, near the S A & M rail line, plan a winter health resort town with lots for sale starting February 15, and sale of tickets runs to February 10th or 12th. The party, from Cincinnati Columbus Findlay Indianapolis Evansville, will reach Georgia around February 14 with most investors likely to buy land and plant fruit orchards and vineyards during their stay in Americus.
